Corn mother is considered to be the mother of all Kachina.  She is celebrated  during the Bean Dance, and looks over the admittance of the children into the Kachina Cult.  She brings with her yucca whips for the Hu Kachinas to use for disciplining the boys during their initiation into the Kachina Cult.  She also brings corn kernels and bean sprouts to symbolize the start of the new season, she traditionally leads other Kachinas into the village.
